A new behind-the-scenes teaser confirms The Hunt for Gollum has begun filming in New Zealand with Andy Serkis directing and reprising Gollum.
Familiar and new faces: Ian McKellen, Elijah Wood, and Lee Pace return, joined by Jamie Dornan as Aragorn, Kate Winslet, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Leo Woodall in new roles.
Epic release plans: The film is slated for December 17, 2027, telling a pre-Fellowship story of Aragorn’s quest to stop Gollum from revealing the One Ring’s location

Here’s the newest trailer from Ready or Not Here I Come 2
The annual convention, described as the “the ultimate geek paradise,” draws hundreds of thousands of comic, sci-fi, horror, gaming and anime fans to Orlando’s Orange County Convention Center. This year, the four-day event runs from March 19-22, 2026.
Other celebrity names on the convention lineup are “The Lord of the Rings” actor Elijah Wood, Sean Astin from “The Goonies,” “The Lord of the Rings” and “Stranger Things,” and “Star Wars” actor John Boyega.
